Porters Season Pass Terms & Conditions

The following Terms & Conditions apply to all season pass holders for the 2017 winter season.

  • The 2017 Season Pass is valid for the applicant's personal use from the date of issue until the close of the 2017 ski season at Porters Ski Area on all days when the lifts are operating
  • The adult midweek Season Pass is valid Monday to Friday, excluding school holidays and any days when the lifts cannot operate 
  • All students must show Tertiary Institution full ID and proof of full-time status to uplift their pass. An apprentice earning a wage while learning is not considered to be enrolled fulltime at a tertiary institution. Please contact us if you are unsure
  • The Season Pass is non-transferable and is valid for the use of the applicant only
  • The Season Pass holder is responsible for any unauthorised use of the Season Pass unless the Season Pass has been reported lost or stolen. A $30 charge will be made for a replacement pass
  • The Season Pass is non-refundable if revoked or where the holder no longer wishes to use it or where it can’t be used due to unforeseen circumstances
  • There is no refund if a pass had no or minimum use due to personal reasons or poor weather conditions
  • Misconduct may result in the revocation of the Season Pass without refund. Any decision will be at the sole discretion of Porters Ski Area management. The meaning of ‘misconduct’ includes reckless skiing or snowboarding, failure to obey signs, closures and policies of the ski area, failure to obey the snow responsibility code, the provision of false information herein or breach of any other term or condition expressed or implied relating to the use of the ski area. Please familiarise yourself with the snow responsibility code 
  • The company may alter the terms and conditions applying to this pass at any time without notice. The pass remains the property of Porters at all times
  • All rates printed/published by Porters Ski Area are displayed in New Zealand dollars (NZD$), are true and correct at the time of printing/publishing and are subject to change at any time without notice

Porters Premium Pass Terms & Conditions

The following Terms & Conditions apply to Premium holders for the 2017 winter season.

  • The 2017 Porter Premium Pass is valid only for the pass holder and the included benefits are only available to the pass holder personally and cannot be redeemed for other person.
  • The PLUS F&B option includes one main meal per pass holder per day as well as complimentary snacks and hot drinks until 3PM each operating day.
  • The PLUS F&B option does not include any alcohol, cold drinks or soft drinks.  These can be purchased separately.  Premium Pass holders will receive a 20% discount on these
  • The unlimited group lessons included in the Premium pass are for beginner level only and will take place on the carpet and platter lifts
  • Snow Sports Skills clinics will be run at the discretion of Porters Ski Area. Starting times and skills focus areas will vary. Participants must register at guest services before 11AM on the day of clinic.
  • Snow Sports Skills clinics will run for a minimum of 1/2hr but will run longer when there are more participants.
  • Snow Sports Skills clinics will run during the July school holidays and every weekend.  Midweek skills clinics will be offered depending on demand and require a minimum of 4 participants.
  • Reserved parking for Premium Pass holders only applies on weekends and in July school holidays and other peak periods.
  • Reserved Parking for Premium Pass holders is limited to 35 spaces in the top car park close to all the facilities.  These spaces are available to any Premium Pass holder on a "first in" basis.
  • Reserved Parking for Premium Pass holders will be held until 10:30 each day after which time it will be offered to other guests.
  • Complimentary ski and board rental offered excludes performance skis. An extra charge per day will apply if Premium Pass holder wishes to use performance skis.
  • Personal equipment stored on the mountain for Premium Pass holders will only be available to them on operating days.  If the ski area is closed during a storm the equipment will not be available for collection.
  • Complimentary Wax for ski or snowboard does not include edge tune or repairs.
  • 20% discount for on mountain products applies to snow sport products,rental products, cafe and merchandise.  Accommodation products are excluded.
  • Not available to Porters Staff.

 Porters Plus Pass Terms & Conditions

The following Terms & Conditions apply to Plus holders for the 2017 winter season.

  • The 2017 Porter Plus Pass is valid only for the pass holder and included benefits are only available to the pass holder personally and cannot be redeemed for other person.
  • The PLUS F&B option includes one main meal per pass holder per day as well as complimentary snacks and hot drinks until 3PM each operating day.
  • The PLUS F&B option does not include any alcohol, cold drinks or soft drinks.  These can be purchased separately.  Premium Pass holders will receive a 15% discount on these
  • Complimentary Wax for ski or snowboard does not include edge tune or repairs
  • 15% discount for on mountain products applies to snow sport products, rental products, cafe and  merchandise.  Accommodation products are excluded.
  • Not available to Porters Staff.

Porters Season Pass Warranty Terms & Conditions

  • Without purchasing the pass warranty option, the value of your season pass is non-transferable under any circumstances
  • The price of the warranty option is $30 for individual pass holders or $60 for a couple or family. The warranty option fee is non-refundable under any circumstances
  • The season pass warranty is only valid when purchased concurrently with your season pass
  • The season pass warranty includes a snow conditions warranty. If you are not happy with the conditions of the snow (until 10th July 2017) you may transfer your season pass to the 2018 season
  • If you need to claim against your warranty for what you believe to be marginal snow conditions, or you have suffered an injury that prevents you from skiing/snowboarding, we must receive your request in writing by 10th July 2017 via the Warranty Claim Form. We will not accept warranty claims after 10th July 2017
  • All 2017 warranties are valid for the 2017 winter season. The applicable value/pass purchased may be uptaken in the 2018 season provided all warranty terms and conditions have been met. If the warranty is not taken in the 2018 season, the warranty expires on 10th July 2018
  • Should the warranty be claimed during the 2017 season and the pass transferred to the following season, the warranty shall then expire and no further transfer of the initially purchased season pass may occur thereafter

Refunds

Once purchased, a Porters season pass cannot be refunded under any circumstance even if it has not been used at all due to personal circumstances or poor weather / snow conditions. If a customer chooses to purchase the warranty option, the passholder may transfer the season pass to the following season, provided all warranty terms and conditions have been met and a written request to transfer the pass is received by 10th July 2017. The cost of the warranty is non-refundable

Delivery

All early and pre-season sales of season passes will be processed prior to opening day of the 2017 season, whereby;

  • all information provided is correct and complete 
  • an appropriate and recent passport style photo is available for each pass

All students must show a current student NZ tertiary ID card showing fulltime status before collecting pass.
